Review: Brewers' X-Men Origins Wolverine Plus 10

Team Brewers have been around the trainer scene for a long time. Their releases are usually top notch. This one is no different.

What you get with this trainer is a nice list of options. The super speed and jump options are surprisingly useful in different scenarios. I wouldn't recommend turning them on for the whole game however. It's hard to control wolverine on a beam in a high place when you're moving so fast. Similarly, it's tough to jump with any control when your jump is so high.

Then there's the one hit kill. It's great to use on the regular enemies (and in some ways makes the game more satisfying). The bad part comes when you take on a boss. The game will lock up or crash when you instant kill a boss. This is due to the boss having different attack mode or stages that it undergoes during the battle. For this reason, I would only use one hit kill on regular enemies. This includes wendigo and other big lumbering meanies.

The trainer application comes in the signature animation and scrolling text that one would expect from a brewer's release. If you click on the NFO text, it will display the trainer options. Similarly, you can disable the music by clicking on the MUSIC text. It will also auto disables the music when the game is running. This is all nice and well. I would rather the trainer didn't include any music or snazzy animation. But as that is the signature of the group, I doubt any new releases will be any different. Finally, you can close the trainer by right mouse clicking anywhere on the application.

In conclusion, this trainer is solid. For all the options that I've tried, it works as stated. Here's wishing all future versions will leave out the annoying music and animation.

Review: KelSat's The Last Remnant v1.0 Plus 13 Trainer

As always, KelSat delivers. This trainer is no different then the previous releases which you can find on the author's website (which can be difficult to access depending on what browser you us; IE seems to work best) or GCW. Okay, let's get down to business.

I've only used several options of this wonderful trainer -- one hit kill, unlimited money, instant upgrade, max attributes, freeze ai, unlimited timeshift, max battle rank, and max units/unions. That means they get more coverage in this review then the other options. I normally never use the various save/load position options that seem to be popular with trainer authors of late. I just don't see the point in it (maybe one of these day I'll relent and try them out).

The one hit kill option is a wonderful addition to a game like this. This option alone will cut down the time it takes to win battles considerably. It makes boss battle a breeze. Unlimited money, max attributes, and unlimited timeshift work as advertised.

Be warned with the freeze ai option. I've seen it glitch the game where you can't progress after certain cut scene. Also, it seems maxing out the unions at 7 or 8 with the max units/unions option can cause the game to lock up as well. But it seems to work fine if you have around 5 or 6 unions. I think the problem might be because some quests have guest union(s) joining your team. Maybe the addition of these guest union when you already have 7 or 8 breaks the game because you've exceeded some hard limit the game sets internally?

This review is going to be very brief. I'm still working out the kinks on what the site will contain. I like to cover the trainer options, a little background, and go over the trainer application itself (the presentation). Anyway, I'll end this review with what I think of the application presentation.

In general, it's a clean interface. I generally don't like music playing in the trainer. But it's easy enough to turn off by clicking on the 'sfx' text in the upper right corner of the application. Also, the trainer will auto disable the music when it detects the game is running. The inclusion of the game box art is a nice touch as well as the status text running at the bottom indicating whether the game is running or not.

Overall, this trainer is well made. You really can't go wrong with KelSat's trainers. They're some of the best in the trainer scene.
